That $35 "haunted" doll from a yard sale in Ohio turned out to be a 1980s Furby with a dying voice box

People keep posting these "spooky" listings with dramatic backstories, but 8 out of 10 times it's just broken electronics or a smudge on the camera lens. I bought this thing because the ad said it "whispers your name at 3AM". Nope. It squeaks like a dying smoke detector. Cost me $35 plus $12 for new batteries. Has anyone else paid money for a "creepy" item that turned out to be a kids toy with a low battery?
