Saw a link from 2008 that still had a working Angelfire counter

Clicked through a broken archives page and it redirected me to some memorial site for the guy who made the Angelfire builder tool, the whole vibe was completely different from the chaotic page I remembered. Has anyone else stumbled on a link that just hit different like that, where the destination doesn't match the original context at all?

Oh wait, that's not quite right actually. The Angelfire builder tool wasn't made by one guy, it was built by a whole team back when the company was still independent. I think what you probably hit was a fan memorial site for someone who ran a popular Angelfire community or tutorial page back in the day. Still weird when old links lead somewhere totally unexpected like that though.

Gotta admit, I was pretty convinced it was some solo dev project back in the day. I remember reading a bunch of old forum posts that made it sound like one guy built the whole thing in his basement. Seeing this actually clears up a ton of confusion I've had for years. Makes total sense a team would be behind it, especially with how many features that old tool had at the time.
