Finally got my dark Transfer Paper to show up on a black shirt using a trick a print shop guy told me

I tried 3 different brands of dark transfer paper and none of them worked until I added a white toner layer underneath, has anyone else dealt with that specific issue?

Oh man, the white toner layer trick is the only thing that ever worked for me too. I tried 3 different brands of dark transfer paper as well and they all came out washed out or barely visible. I spent a whole weekend testing different heat settings and pressure but nothing changed until a friend told me to try a white toner base first. It is a pain to have to do an extra step but it is the difference between a design that actually shows up and one that looks like a faded ghost print.
