My heat press just died mid-job on a rush order for a local band

I was printing 20 shirts for a punk band called Rustbucket last Saturday and my old 15x15 press just stopped heating at 30 seconds in. The timer still ran but the temp dropped to zero, so I had to blast it with a heat gun to finish the last 8 shirts. Has anyone else had a controller board fail like that, or am I better off just buying a new press entirely?

@kevin_roberts41 was it a generic amazon board or a brand specific one?

Blew out my controller board on a Saturday afternoon too, right in the middle of a 50-shirt run for a local brewery. I ordered a replacement board off Amazon for like 40 bucks and swapped it in 20 minutes. Fixed the problem and saved myself a few hundred bucks. Just make sure you unplug it and let it cool completely before you start poking around inside. That heat gun trick is a lifesaver, but I wouldn't want to do it for more than a handful of shirts.
