Printing my son's art on magnets saved our fridge clutter.

It keeps his creations organized and he loves seeing them daily. I use a basic home printer with magnetic paper sheets.

Yeah, the glue on those magnetic sheets is the real problem. My old printer started making this awful grinding noise after a few projects. I switched to printing on glossy sticker paper and sticking that to a blank magnet sheet. It takes an extra minute but my new printer has lasted way longer. You can even cut the printed sticker into fun shapes before you put it on the magnet.

Actually magnetic sheets can really jam up home printers... the adhesive backing gums up the rollers over time. A safer way is to print on regular photo paper and then glue it to those thin, flexible magnet sheets you can buy. That way your printer lasts longer and you still get the same result.

Consider if magnetic sheets really cause that many jams. I've used them for years without any problems on my basic inkjet. Maybe it's just a rare issue that gets blown out of proportion.
