PSA: I dropped about $50 on a custom heat press vinyl for a small batch of shirts and it completely fell apart after one wash.

Has anyone found a vinyl brand that actually holds up, or should I just switch to a different printing method for small orders?

That "fell apart after one wash" line hits home. My sister tried making matching shirts for a family reunion last year, and by the time we took the group photo, half the letters were peeling off like old stickers. She was so mad she just threw the whole box in the trash. I've heard good things about the stuff that needs a heat press, but I'm too scared to waste the money after seeing that mess.

My cousin bought a cheap heat press off some website last summer. Honestly, the vinyl still cracked after a few washes because she didn't press it hot enough or long enough. Tbh I feel like it's more about getting the technique right than just the machine. Seeing a bad result once can make you think all DIY shirts are trash. Ngl I'd probably just buy the shirts printed somewhere and save the headache.
