Spent 2 hours matching Pantone colors that still came out wrong

Ordered 500 stickers from a shop in Austin and asked for a specific orange from their catalog. They kept sending a reddish tone no matter what I told them. Turns out their monitor calibration was off the whole time and they never checked it. How do you all handle color matching when the place you use won't admit their screen is bad?

My cousin's wedding invite printer gave us navy blue that looked purple, so now I just buy extra stock and hope for the best.
