The print quality on my shop's shirts went from crisp to blurry after we switched to a new ink supplier in March.

Our old supplier closed, so we tried a cheaper one and now our halftones look muddy, which is killing our repeat business from the local brewery account.

Maybe the blurry look is a good thing. It gives the shirts a vintage, worn-in feel that people love now. That brewery crowd might actually prefer a softer, less perfect print. It looks more handmade and less like a mass-produced item. You could even market it as an artistic choice instead of a printing flaw.

Huh, that's an interesting angle. Do you really think the brewery crowd would go for blurry as a style choice, or would they just think it's a messed up shirt? I'm curious if you've actually seen that work somewhere or if it's more of a hunch.

Did you check if the new ink has a different viscosity that's messing with your screen tension?
