Appreciation post: My home network went from getting hit every day to maybe once a month

I finally set up a Pi-hole on a Raspberry Pi 4 about six months ago after my router logs showed constant pings and scans from random IPs. Since then, the amount of junk and obvious probe traffic hitting my devices has dropped like a rock. Is the initial setup worth the hassle for most people, or should you just stick with a good router's built-in stuff?

Nice! So after six months, do you still have to mess with the Pi-hole settings much, or is it pretty much set and forget now?
