I heard a guy at the coffee shop say he uses the same password for everything because it's 'just easier'

It was this morning, and he was talking to his friend about his bank account. He said his password was something simple like his kid's name and the year. It just made me think about how many people probably do that. I looked it up when I got home, and a site I trust said over 60% of people reuse passwords. I started using a password manager about six months ago and it was a game changer. Has anyone else had a moment that finally pushed them to make a change like that?

Wow, that hack story is exactly why I finally switched too.

Totally get it. I had the same wake up call when my email got hacked a few years back. The guy got into my shopping account and ordered a bunch of stuff. That was the final push for me to get a password manager too. It felt like a huge pain at first, but now I can't imagine going back to trying to remember everything.

Man, that's the exact same thing that got me. Somebody got my old Yahoo password and just cleaned out my eBay. Seeing those weird charges for car parts I'd never buy was such a gut punch. Setting up the manager felt like a whole weekend project, changing everything. But now it's just a click, and everything's a crazy long password I don't even know. Life is way easier.
