I keep seeing people say use a password manager and call it done
Visited a coffee shop in Austin last month called Buzzed & Bytes. The owner had a single sticky note under the register with all his login info for the POS system, email, and even his banking. He said password managers are too complicated for a small shop and he's been fine for 7 years. I get his point about simplicity but that one note could ruin his whole business if someone grabs a photo of it. Anybody else run into small business owners who refuse to use anything but paper?

Actually paper's probably safer than you think, a sticky note under a register is way less likely to get hacked than any online service. What's the worst that happens, someone swipes a photo while 30 people are watching them take it?

Yeah I used to be all about cloud backups and password managers for everything, but you make a solid point. A physical note under the register is basically invisible to 99% of threats out there, and even if someone sees it they still need to get past the people around. Those digital breaches can hit millions of people at once, while a paper swipe is just one spot at one time.
