Question about public Wi-Fi at the airport in Denver... noticed something weird with the login page.
I was stuck on a long layover at DIA last week and tried to connect to the free airport Wi-Fi. The login page that popped up asked for my email and phone number, which I thought was normal... but then it also had a box asking for my frequent flyer number. That felt off, like they were trying to get more info than they needed. I didn't put anything in and just used my phone's hotspot instead. Has anyone else run into a login page asking for extra details that don't seem right? How do you tell if it's the real network or a fake one set up to steal info?

Yeah, that "frequent flyer number" box would have set off alarms for me too. I used to just click through those pages without thinking, but hearing about stuff like this changed my mind. Good call using your hotspot instead.

That free airport wifi at gate B12 got me last year... I put in all my info without even thinking twice, just wanted to check my email before boarding. Then I heard about these fake login pages and felt stupid for being so careless. Now I always use my hotspot too, even if it means burning through data.

Totally, @grantcooper. I just treat every public wifi login page like it's trying to trick me now.
