For 10 years I thought that old fan site was gone forever... then I found it on Wayback

I still remember this one fan site for a 90s sci-fi show I loved, it had this huge archive of behind-the-scenes photos and interviews that nobody else had. The site went down around 2005 when the host shut down and I figured it was just gone for good. Last week I was digging through old bookmarks and decided to check Wayback Machine on a whim. Turns out someone had saved nearly every page between 1999 and 2004, the photos were still there just compressed. I spent like 3 hours just scrolling through, reading interviews with actors I hadn't thought about in years. The weirdest part was seeing the old layout with those grainy GIF backgrounds and visitor counters. Has anyone else had luck finding a totally dead site on Wayback that you thought was lost?

Wait, the photos were still compressed and viewable? That's wild. I figured Wayback only saved text and stripped images, but now I need to check my old LiveJournal layout.
