Found an old cached version of a recipe blog from 2008 and it was way simpler
I was looking for a specific casserole recipe my mom used to make, and the Wayback Machine had a copy from before the blog got bought out. It was just text and two pictures, no pop ups or life story about the author's trip to the store. Has anyone else noticed old recipes online were actually easier to follow?

Yeah that's not quite right actually. The old version had the recipe in the middle, not the top. It was a paragraph of text then the ingredients list then the steps. Still a lot easier than what you get now though. No life story about the author's dog or how their grandma inspired them to bake. Just straight to the point.

Bet the old version actually had the recipe right at the top instead of burying it under 2000 words about their vacation. That's what makes me crazy about modern blogs, you gotta scroll past a novel just to find out how much flour to use.
