The old GeoCities article that claimed digital photography would never replace film

Back in 1999, some guy named PixelPete on GeoCities wrote a whole rant saying digital cameras were a fad and film would always be superior because of 'true color depth.' I screenshotted it back then and laughed, but now looking at his examples of color banding, he actually had a point about early digital sensors. So who was more right: the guy clinging to film or the people who bet everything on digital?

Wait, you actually have a screenshot of that from 1999? Thats insane, I thought that whole GeoCities era was just lost to the void. Kinda wild to think he was right about some stuff even if he was a total doomer about it all.
