Found a working Orange Julius booth in a dead mall near Cleveland last month
It was just one older lady running it and she made me the most perfect strawberry banana smoothie I've had since the 90s, has anyone else found a random food stall still open in a mostly empty mall?

Yeah I've run into this a few times. The trick is to go during lunch hours on weekdays. Those older ladies running solo booths usually pack up by 3pm because they're tired and foot traffic drops off. If you find one that's open past 5pm that's a goldmine. They're almost always cash only too so keep a $20 in your car. Also check the mall directory map near the food court those old kiosk listings are usually wrong. The best ones are the ones that have been there since the 80s and just never left.

Oh, that's a good point about the lunch hour trick. I've found the same thing with @riverwhite's tip about the cash only part being key. Those 80s holdouts are the real deal if you can track them down.
