My camera battery died at the old Sunrise Mall food court
I was trying to get a shot of the empty fountain when my camera just shut off. I had to walk all the way back to the Sears anchor, which was closed, to find an outlet near an old pretzel stand. Got the shot, but it was a close call. Anyone else have their gear fail at a bad time in a dead mall?

Oh, that's the worst kind of mall ghosting. At least the pretzel outlet still had power, even if the dreams didn't. My old point-and-shoot gave up right as I found a perfect, dusty old Orange Julius counter.

Ugh, that camera timing is brutal. It's like the mall ghosts have a pact with dying batteries to protect their secrets. You finally spot the holy grail of dead food courts and your tech turns into a brick. Next time just draw a picture with a crayon you find on the floor, it'll last longer.

Man, that's classic. The ghosts of dead malls definitely have a thing for draining batteries right at the good part. At least you found a working outlet, even if it was next to a sad, forgotten pretzel machine. My old flash died once trying to light up a dark arcade, left me with a photo that just looks like a black hole.
