Warning: that guy at the abandoned food court in the Greendale Mall who 'works security' is just some random dude
He cornered me by the old Orange Julius kiosk last month and tried to sell me a 'guided tour' of the upper floor for 20 bucks, then got real weird when I said no thanks, so has anyone else run into impersonators at these places?

Saw a Reddit thread where a guy got scammed the same way at that mall.

That Reddit thread had all the same details too - same fake security guard move, same "let me check your wallet" routine. People in the comments said it's been happening there for years but management won't do anything about it. One guy said he lost almost a grand before he realized the guard was a fake. Mall security never caught anyone either, pretty sure they're in on it or just don't care. Whole thing is a setup.
