Controversial take: the 2004 iPod mini I found at a garage sale in Detroit still works better than my current phone for music
I pulled it out of a box labeled "junk" for $5, charged it overnight, and it fired right up with 3,000 songs from 2005. My iPhone glitches on playlists daily, but this 20 year old clunker handles everything smooth. Is the simplicity of old tech actually better, or did I just get lucky with a survivor?

Hold up, 3,000 songs from 2005?

Honestly, how many of those 3,000 songs even held up after a year? Most of that 2005 stuff was ringtone rap and myspace pop that nobody revisits. Ngl, seems like a classic case of quantity over quality.
