That old MP3 player I found still has 90s files on it

I dug out my old Creative Nomad Jukebox from a box in the garage last weekend. It still had about 200 songs loaded on it, mostly 128kbps rips from burned CDs I made back in 2002. The battery somehow held a charge long enough for me to scroll through the playlists. Anyone else still have a dead format player kicking around with their music from high school on it?

Man I love finding old mp3 players like that. I pulled out my old 30gb iPod from like 2005 a few months ago and almost cried when I saw the playlists. There was a folder called "Road Trip 2006" that had a bunch of burned CD rips too, mostly Blink-182 and Green Day and random pop punk bands I totally forgot about. The tags on the files were a mess too, like some were just "Track01.mp3" with no artist or album info. I actually tried to sync it to my current laptop but iTunes refused to recognize it, lol. Ended up just letting it charge overnight and listening through those old earbuds with the foam pads on them. That crackly sound brought back so many memories.

Wait, you seriously listened through the OG foam earbuds? Those things were garbage even back then, my ears would revolt.
