That old WinAmp skin I swore by finally broke my laptop last week

I've been using the same WinAmp 2 skin since 2001 on every computer I've owned, but when it caused my Windows 10 machine to blue screen three times in one afternoon, I had to finally admit defeat. Spent two hours digging through archive.org to find the original artist's page from 1999, only to realize the skin files were corrupt and the guy hasn't been online since 2005. Has anyone else had an old piece of software suddenly wreck their modern setup, or am I just too stubborn to let go?

Nah I used to think people were just being dramatic about old software breaking things... but then I tried to run my old WinAmp setup on a newer laptop and it literally fried the USB port. Had to get a whole new motherboard. You're not alone in this fight man.
