Vent: My old iPod Classic died mid-shuffle last Tuesday and took 14 years of playlists with it
I pulled out my 160GB iPod Classic from 2009 to use on a road trip to Flagstaff, and the hard drive started clicking then went silent after about an hour of Springsteen. Turns out the old spinning disk finally gave out, and since I never backed up the library, all those carefully curated playlists from college are just gone. Anyone know a data recovery place that still works on these old clickwheel models without charging an arm and a leg?

Hated on the cloud for years but hearing about your iPod dying finally made me sign up for automatic backups. I get it now. Still sucks losing all that history though.
