Old timer at the shop told me I was spinning my injectors wrong
Guy named Chuck with 40 years experience watched me torque down an injector in a 5.9 Cummins and just shook his head. He said I was overtorquing the hold-down bolts and that I should be using a 3/8 drive instead of 1/2 for better feel. I switched to a torque wrench that goes 10-150 ft-lbs and havent had a leaky injector come back since. Anyone else get a simple tip from a veteran that totally changed their install game?

Old Bob at the parts counter told me to stop using anti-seize on glow plugs because it messes up the torque readings and can crack the head. I thought he was full of it until I had one back out and snap off on the next service. Now I just run them in dry with a good 3/8 drive and havent had a problem since.
