Overheard a guy at the parts counter talking about his DEF heater delete
He was bragging about how he ripped the heater out of his truck's DEF system to avoid winter issues. The counter guy just said 'good luck with that' and walked away. It got me thinking about how many people might not realize that messes with the whole SCR system and can cause major regen problems. I've seen two trucks in the shop this month with limp mode from similar 'fixes'. Anyone else run into this and have a good way to explain to customers why it's a bad idea?

Seen this same shortcut logic with home appliances. People bypass safety features then act shocked when things break worse.

It's like @charles_green said, but they also forget how insurance works.
