Had a banner week on ArtStation out of nowhere
Last Tuesday I uploaded a simple landscape piece I did in about 4 hours. Woke up Wednesday to 12 new followers and a message from a gallery in Portland wanting to feature it. Never had that happen before in 3 years of posting. Anyone else get random spikes like that with no clue why?

That gallery in Portland got me curious. Did you look into them at all before you replied back, or did you just roll with it and see what they wanted? There's a lot of small galleries out there who try to get free work or charge artists to show, so I always check their website first. Some of them are legit though, so hope it works out for you.

Man I've been burned by that exact scam before. Always check their submission fees and past exhibitors before you get too excited.
