Had to pick between a $40 drawing tablet with no screen or a $200 display tablet for my digital art showcase entry

I went with the cheap one because I was broke, and now after 3 weeks my wrist cramps up every time I try to trace out a line, but I guess it taught me to rely on hand-eye coordination instead of staring at the screen, anyone else regret not saving up more?.

You ever seen someone trying to draw with a screenless tablet and end up drawing on their phone screen by accident? My buddy did that for a month before he caved and got one with a screen. He kept complaining about his wrist too, said it felt like he was trying to steer a car while looking out the side window. He cheaped out like you did and spent three weeks drawing lines that looked like earthquakes on a seismograph. Finally he broke down and bought the display model when he couldn't take the guessing game anymore. Now his art is way cleaner but he still mutters about those first few weeks like it was some kind of art boot camp he didn't sign up for.
