Hot take: That 'art block is a myth' post in the group last week really rubbed me the wrong way
So I read someone saying that art block is just an excuse people use when they don't feel like working. I gotta disagree pretty hard. I've been doing digital painting for about 4 years now and there have been weeks where I stare at a blank canvas for 30 minutes before quitting. It's not about motivation, it's something in my head that just won't click. Has anyone else dealt with this and found a way to push through without forcing it?

Forced it for two weeks straight and ended up hating everything I made, so now I just go for a long walk until my brain resets.

Did you see that study about how forcing creativity actually makes it worse? I read somewhere that stepping away completely for a few days can reset your brain better than pushing through.
