I finally ditched my old Wacom tablet for a screen tablet after my friend in Seattle showed me her workflow.

I used to think the disconnect between my hand and the screen was just part of the process, but drawing directly on the display with my Huion Kamvas 16 last year cut my line art time in half and felt way more natural, so what's your take: is the old-school tablet method still valid for learning, or should new artists just skip straight to a screen display?

Started with a bamboo fun back in 2010 and still use it for quick sketches sometimes.

Oh man, the Bamboo Fun was my gateway drug too. I still have mine in a drawer somewhere and I swear the USB cable looks like it survived a war. It's funny how those old tablets just refuse to die even when the drivers stop working on new computers. Do you ever have to wrestle with yours to get it recognized by Windows?
