Just visited the new digital art wall at the Denver airport and it got me thinking
They have this huge, interactive screen showing a rotating gallery of digital paintings. I noticed about 70 percent of the pieces were these super polished, AI-looking fantasy scenes, while the rest were more raw, hand-drawn style portraits. It felt like two different shows in one space. One side is all about flawless, dream-like tech, and the other feels more human and personal. It made me wonder which kind of art holds your attention more in a public showcase. Do you think places like this should lean into the 'wow' factor of perfect digital work, or highlight the artist's hand?

Wow, you know, I used to be all about that clean digital look. Thought it was the future. But seeing them side by side like that... the hand-drawn stuff just has a pull to it. It feels like a real person was there, making choices. The perfect AI art is cool for a second, but then my eyes just slide right off it. For a public space, the messy human stuff actually makes me stop and look longer. It's not just a design choice, it's about what keeps people connected.

That 70 percent AI art split at the airport is just a design choice.

Exactly, it's a visual trick to make you stop and look. They could have used any pattern, but that specific one grabs your eye because it feels off. It's meant to be a talking point, and clearly it's working.
