Picked Procreate over Clip Studio Paint for my latest project and kinda regret it

I had to decide between Procreate and Clip Studio Paint for a 40-hour character design commission I landed last month. Went with Procreate cause I love the brush feel on iPad, but the lack of vector layers and animation tools really slowed me down when the client asked for turnaround sheets. Anyone else run into workflow limits with one app and wish they'd switched halfway through?

Man I feel your pain. Picked Clip Studio for a similar turnaround job last year and it saved me. The vector layers let me tweak line weights on character sheets without redrawing everything. Slapped the frames together in like 20 minutes with their timeline tool. Maybe split the project next time do roughs in Procreate then finish in Clip.

So is this basically just the "right tool for the job" thing we see everywhere now? I notice the same thing with cooking. People try to sear a steak in a nonstick pan and wonder why it sucks. Then they grab a cast iron and suddenly everything clicks. You gotta match the software to the stage of the project. Rough sketches in Procreate make sense because it's loose and fast. Clip is built for the finishing touches. Same logic as using a hammer for nails and a screwdriver for screws. People just grab whatever's closest and then complain.
