Question about that 'pro' brush pack everyone was pushing on YouTube

I spent $75 on a set of 200 digital brushes for Procreate that all feel exactly the same, and now I'm back to using the three default ones I actually like.

So which settings do you actually tweak to make a brush feel truly different?

Yeah, I saw a video recently where an artist said most of those huge brush packs are just the same basic shape with different texture overlays slapped on. They said you're better off learning how to tweak the settings on a few brushes you like, because that's where the real control is. It's kind of a trap, feeling like you need more tools when you just need more practice with the ones that work. I've definitely fallen for it before too.
