Rant: My whole portfolio got corrupted at the Denver Digital Arts Festival

I was showing my work at the Denver Digital Arts Festival last month, and my main hard drive just died right before my scheduled talk. I lost about 80 finished pieces because I only had them on that one drive (I know, I know). Now I use three separate cloud backups and a physical drive for everything new. Has anyone else had a major scare like this at an event?
