Rant: The new digital art show at the city library was a total letdown
I went to the main branch downtown yesterday to check out their 'Future Visions' exhibit, which was supposed to feature local digital artists. Honestly, it was just a row of six identical tablets on stands, all playing the same 30-second abstract loop on repeat. The worst part was the lighting, it was so bright and harsh from the overhead fluorescents that you could barely see the screens without a glare. I heard one person next to me mutter, 'I could see this on my phone in a dark room and it would look better.' It felt like they just threw it together last minute with zero thought about how people actually view digital art. I was hoping for some cool projections or maybe interactive pieces, but nope. Has anyone else been to a public display that actually did digital art right? I'm looking for better spots.

That "threw it together last minute" feeling is the worst, I saw the same thing at the community center last month.
