That brush blending trick with the color dodge layer is a total game changer

I've been doing digital portraits for like 2 years and always struggled with getting that soft glow on skin without it looking muddy or flat. Tried all the fancy brushes everyone recommends on youtube. Then last week I just randomly set a new layer to color dodge, picked a low opacity airbrush in a warm peach color, and dabbed it over the cheekbones and nose bridge. It literally took 5 seconds and looked better than any of my 2 hour blending sessions. Has anyone else stumbled on a weird setting or mode that just clicked out of nowhere?

Game changer" is carrying a lot of weight for a single brush setting.

Yeah but honestly that one brush setting really does change everything.
