Blew $80 on a "file organizer" app that just made things messier

Bought this app that claimed to auto-sort all my downloads into folders by type, but it just dumped everything into a new folder called "sorted" with the same chaos inside. Has anyone actually found a tool that works for taming their mod folder without messing up the file paths?

$80 on a file organizer app and it just made a folder called "sorted"? That's wild. I could've done that for free by right-clicking and making a new folder. Sounds like it didn't even bother to check the actual file types, just shoved everything in one big pile. I'd be asking for my money back, that's straight up robbery for a script that probably took someone an afternoon to write.
