Good week: finally deleted 12,000 old emails in one sitting
Last Tuesday I had a slow afternoon at work and decided to tackle my inbox. I had 34,000 unread emails going back to 2016. After 3 hours of mass selecting and trashing newsletters I never opened, I got it down to 22,000. My computer felt faster and I found a $25 gift card code from 2019 that still worked. Anyone else find random money buried in their ancient inbox?
Start organizing by sender domain first so you can nuke entire mailing lists at once. I filtered out all the "unsubscribe@company.com" types and wiped out about 8,000 emails in two minutes. That $25 find is a good reminder to search your inbox for words like "gift", "code", or "coupon" before you delete anything from 2019 or earlier.
