Hit 150GB of just unfinished PDF textbooks I'll never read again

On one hand, keeping all those PDFs feels like I've got a backup plan for every topic I ever wanted to learn. On the other, I've moved three times and never opened a single one since downloading them. Which side wins out for you - the comfort of hoarding or the freedom of deleting?

I saw a study once that said people keep digital files because it feels cheaper than throwing away a book, even though it costs more to store them. I deleted my old PDFs last year and haven't missed a single one.

Oh wow, I did the same thing last year with my old research papers and it felt surprisingly freeing. @paulc93, I found that just keeping a list of what I deleted rather than the actual files helped me let go. Your mileage may vary but for me, not having that digital clutter made a bigger difference than I expected.
