Spent $200 on a 2TB external drive to organize my mods, now it's just a bigger mess
I finally caved and bought a 2TB WD external hard drive for $200, thinking I'd sort my Skyrim and Fallout mods into neat folders. But now I've got 1.5TB of stuff on it and no system at all. Part of me thinks dropping the cash was smart because at least nothing is deleted. But the other side says I just paid to hide the chaos better. Anyone else throw money at storage and end up with the same problem but bigger? How do you actually force yourself to organize once you have the space?

Start by sorting into just three folders labeled Keep, Trash, and Unsorted.

Can you really trust yourself to actually sort stuff into those three folders though @hayden_rodriguez? I tried that exact thing a few years back and "Unsorted" just became this black hole where everything went to die... then I made a fourth folder called "Temp" and now I've got four piles of digital trash instead of three. For mods specifically it's worse because they all have dependencies and patches that break if you move one file. I ended up just naming folders after the game and using the search bar when I need something, it's not pretty but at least I'm not lying to myself anymore.
