That $50 'lifetime' email cleaner I bought in 2018 was a total waste
Ngl I finally tried to use it last week on my 18,000 unread emails and it just crashed halfway through. Turns out the software hasn't been updated in 4 years so it can't handle modern inboxes. Anyone else get burned by those sketchy email organizing tools?

Bought a "lifetime" password manager once. It died before my goldfish did.

Switched to a self-hosted solution after my last "lifetime" plan vanished overnight. Learned the hard way that these deals usually just mean until the company decides to stop supporting it. Now I just bite the bullet and pay yearly for something that's been around forever. It's not flashy but it's still running years later with no surprises.
