Vent: Hit 34,000 unread emails yesterday and actually started reading them
I was cleaning out my inbox from a 2017 job at a shop in Austin and found a chain email about free pizza from a place that closed in 2019. Started clicking through and realized half my saved stuff is just spam or coupon codes I never used. How do you all decide what actually stays and what gets deleted?

34,000 is wild but honestly relatable. What's the oldest email you've found that you actually opened and thought "ok this matters"?

I mean @nora_barnes I had a buddy who found a chain from 2015 about a yard sale his neighbor was having and he went to that neighbor's house to ask if they still had a table they listed. Turns out the neighbor had moved away in 2018 and he drove 20 miles for nothing. Honestly I just delete anything that's older than a year and not from a real person I know. The coupon codes and spam I just bulk delete without opening because ain't nobody got time for that.
