Bought a $40 portable monitor on impulse and it actually saved my workflow
I was browsing Facebook Marketplace in Chiang Mai last week and saw a used 15 inch portable monitor for $40. I didn't really need it but figured why not. Took it to a coworking space yesterday and being able to split my screen between my research tabs and my writing doc made me finish my work in like half the normal time. Anyone else find a random cheap gadget that ended up being super useful?

The owner of my guesthouse here told me he used his old iPad as a second screen with some app for months before upgrading to a proper monitor. @charles_green it's still working fine actually, been three weeks and no issues. I think the real hidden benefit nobody talks about is how much it cuts down on tab switching anxiety. I swear my brain uses less energy when I can just glance left instead of remembering which tab has the article I was copying from. That $40 is probably paying for itself in saved mental bandwidth every single day.
