Can we talk about choosing between a beach town and a mountain city for your first nomad base?

I picked Da Nang over Chiang Mai back in 2018 for the ocean, but ended up missing the co-working scene and community events in the mountains. Anyone else regret their first location pick and how did you fix it?

Ever try splitting your time? Like a few months in each spot to really feel it out before you lock in.

Honestly, the whole debate reminds me of when I first moved out west. I was so set on living near the redwoods for the quiet, but I didn't factor in how gray and damp it gets. After one long winter, I realized I needed way more sunshine than I thought. Sometimes you just don't know what you need until you're already there and feeling it.
