Coworking spaces in Chiang Mai felt like a waste of money for me
I paid $150 for a month at a popular spot and ended up getting less done than at my Airbnb. The constant chatter and free beer just made me want to socialize instead of work. Has anyone else found that cheaper cafes work better for focus?

Oh totally, the free beer thing is such a trap. I fell for it at a spot in Bangkok and spent the whole afternoon talking to some dude about his startup instead of finishing my invoices.

The free beer trick is actually a lazy design that prioritizes retention over productivity, so you end up paying for distraction disguised as a perk. Maybe try a dedicated coworking space that bans booze and enforces quiet hours, or just stick with cafes where the barista disappears after you order.
