Vent: I booked a month in Chiang Mai thinking I'd get tons of work done, but the opposite happened.
I finally got a solid internet setup and cleared my calendar, but after two days I ended up joining a Muay Thai gym and barely opened my laptop. The unexpected break actually made me way more focused when I did sit down to work. Has anyone else had a trip totally change direction like that?

Sounds like you found the right fix without even trying. That restless energy needs somewhere to go before you can sit still. Block out your gym time first thing in the morning, treat it like a meeting you can't skip. Then your work hours will actually feel productive instead of like a fight with yourself.

That's actually the best way a trip can go wrong lol. Sometimes you need to burn off all that restless energy before your brain can settle down. My last work retreat turned into a daily hike situation, and my output was way better after. Forcing the work never really works.
