I figured smart light switches were just a gimmick for lazy people.

My wife bought a three pack for our living room and I rolled my eyes. After we put them in, I set them to turn on at sunset and off at 11 PM. It's been six months and I haven't touched the switch once. It's actually really handy. Anyone else have a simple smart home thing that won you over?

Honestly, they're a lifesaver when your hands are full.

What else do you even use them for?

Oh, come on. I feel like people overthink this stuff. Yeah, it's convenient when you've got a bag in each hand, but it's not like you can't just set them down for two seconds. I mean, how often are your hands really that full that you can't just stop and read a notification? It's a phone, not a third arm. People act like it's some kind of lifesaving tool, but honestly, I've managed just fine without it for years.
