I thought painting my kitchen cabinets was a total waste of a weekend

Honestly, I was sure it would look cheap and chip in a month. But after using a good bonding primer and letting each coat dry for a full 24 hours, they look brand new and have held up for almost a year now. Anyone have a favorite brand for cabinet hardware that won't tarnish?

Switched to Zinsser after my Kilz failed.
