Months of remote work back pain pushed me to build a DIY standing desk
I used spare wood and adjustable legs to make a desk that fits my space perfectly. My posture improved instantly, and I'm way more productive during the day!

How did you attach the legs to the wood top? I did something similar with cinder blocks and a door slab (sounds weird but it works). Getting off my feet and moving around on calls made the biggest difference.

Seriously, cinder blocks and a door? That's some next-level DIY... I bet it looks like a post-apocalypse office setup, but if it works, it works. At least you won't have to worry about wobbly legs from some fancy store-bought thing. Moving around on calls is the whole point, even if your desk is held together by hope and concrete... Makes me think my plain old wood top is boring now.

Building your own desk really makes you focus on how you use the space, like @morgan.felix said about moving on calls. Most people just buy a standing desk and stand still all day, but that can cause new problems. Setting up your own lets you plan for shifting weight or even adding a stool for half-standing. It's more about building movement into your day, not just replacing sitting with standing. That kind of thinking can help avoid getting stuck in another bad posture.
