Poked my head into an old Habitat ReStore last weekend
I drove out to the one near Columbus and it was like walking into 1995. Two full pallets of those ugly brass door knobs nobody wants and a circular saw from the 80s that still hummed perfectly when I plugged it in. Made me wonder how much good stuff gets thrown away now that everyone just buys new from Amazon instead. Anyone else still check ReStores before grabbing new hardware?

Hate seeing perfectly good tools end up in the trash, why do people waste so much?

Picked up an old hammer from the curb last week that looked perfectly fine - just needed a new handle. Spent more time fixing it than I would have buying a new one, but that's kind of my thing. I'm the person who'll spend 20 bucks on parts to save a 5 dollar tool, just because throwing it away feels wrong. Do you do any of that kind of rescue stuff or am I the only one who can't let go of busted tools?
