PSA: Check your PVC glue before starting a plumbing job

I was replacing a sink drain under my kitchen cabinet in Austin last weekend and grabbed a can of PVC cement that looked fine on the shelf. Turned out it had frozen in my garage over the winter and was completely separated even after shaking it for 5 minutes. Has anyone else had ruined glue from temperature swings mess up a quick repair?

My buddy in Minnesota warned me about this last year. He said glue sitting below 40 degrees for more than a day basically turns into lumpy goo that'll never bond right.

Cold temps just make glue set slower, it still bonds fine if you let it cure longer.
