Tried to fix a leaky faucet with flex tape and flooded my kitchen
Honestly, last Saturday I thought I was being smart. My bathroom sink faucet had a slow drip so I grabbed some flex tape from the garage and wrapped it around the base. Ngl, it held for about three hours then popped off while I was making coffee downstairs. Water sprayed everywhere and I ended up mopping for a solid 20 minutes. Anyone else ever use tape as a quick fix and regret it immediately?

Duct tape fixes everything until it doesn't, right?

Three years ago I taped a cracked taillight on my truck with duct tape and it lasted all winter. @ben_lopez25 you act like duct tape is supposed to hold the world together. It's a quick fix for small stuff not a miracle cure. If your car bumper is falling off then yeah duct tape isn't gonna cut it but is that really the tape's fault? You're making it sound like it's a major crisis when half the time people just need a little patience and a real repair.
